Kinkaro Shunko opened on August 8, 2009 in Shunko 1-jo 7-chome, Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Since its opening, the restaurant has been serving grilled meat made with fresh ingredients and has been loved by the local people. The name of the restaurant, "Kin Karo," is a testament to its long-standing quality and trust, and the restaurant continues to uphold this tradition as it continues to be loved by the local community.

Originally from South Korea, Ms. Ji-Yeon Yun moved to Asahikawa and is the president of the Kim Hwaro Yakiniku restaurant. she came to Japan in 1986 when she married her husband Kim, who was born and raised in Asahikawa, and has supported the operation of the restaurant while overcoming language barriers. She continues to take on positive new challenges in the midst of the Corona disaster, and is actively involved in town cleanups and other activities to give back to the community.
