The truth about Bhut Jolokia powder】 The super spicy Eruption Udon we serve uses Indian Bhut Jolokia powder. This ultra-spicy variety was once certified by the Guinness World Records as the 'World's Hottest Chili Pepper.' Its Scoville rating is over 200 times that of regular Tabasco. It is even spicier than the habanero commonly used in super spicy dishes, and the wave of spiciness hits you not immediately after eating, but rather tens of seconds to a few minutes later. We adjust the amount of Bhut Jolokia powder according to the spiciness level. Level 3 'Eruption' has the best balance of spiciness and flavor, making it recommended for super spicy beginners. Levels 4 and 5 should only be attempted by those confident in their tolerance for spiciness.
