From Miyagi to Osaka
2016,02
On this day, we headed to Tamura's for lunch, but time was running out...
I wanted to eat a warm hejang and warm up on a cold day~!
OK...let's go eat some good buckwheat noodles! Let's go eat some good soba noodles!
We went to Shoginan, which we hadn't been able to visit since lunch was reopened!
When we entered the restaurant, there was a nice aroma of buckwheat tea!
This buckwheat tea is so delicious that I always end up drinking a lot of it!
Lunch set menu
JYUWARI-SOBA, daily special appetizer, rolled egg and rice with baby sardines 900 yen
Jyuwari Soba, chicken tempura, pickles, and white rice 900 yen
Jyuwari Soba 900 yen
Lunch has changed like this.
Wow, it's so hard to decide which one to have!
But...I like dashimaki! They are especially delicious here!
Please give me a set of dashimaki!
Soba noodles are served hot!
It takes a little time to be served, but I'm totally willing to wait if I can have delicious food!
Arrival on a tray
The small bowls of the day were steamed chicken with ponzu sauce and gobo (burdock root) taitan,
The steamed chicken ponzu sauce was refreshing - the burdock root tadpole had a nice flavor with a hint of broth!
The dashimaki was cold, but it was delicious and the flavors blended well together!
But the freshly baked ones are the best!
The soba noodles are firm and tasty, and the soup stock makes me so happy!
Jako-meshi (rice with baby sardines) is also a perfect set meal with a hint of sansho (Japanese pepper)!
Lunch is served Monday through Saturday, so you can eat there on holidays too!
This is a local restaurant and I really recommend it!
If you are in need of a place to eat in Higashimikuni, please visit Shoginan!

I went upstairs for the first time.
Up the steep stairs, there is seating for 6 today, and downstairs!
The second floor is available for a hot pot course, if you make a reservation for 4 or 5 people!
Needless to say, we had a great time in private!
This time, I wanted to try the soba (buckwheat) hot pot, so I ordered the 4,000 yen course!
We toasted with sparkling wine!
First came the appetizers!
The members of the group said they wanted to sip sake with this appetizer...
Mozuku seaweed with kimchi, sesame paste tofu, octopus sashimi, bamboo shoots simmered white fish tempura, burdock roll
We were hungry, so we were very excited!
Each dish was carefully prepared and seasoned!
The octopus sashimi was so fresh and plump!
Good job!
And the Miyagi Zao pork hot pot!
The color of the broth was dark, so I wondered if it was spicy soy sauce. I thought it might be too spicy for soy sauce.
But the soup stock was a little sweet.
Everyone was drinking a lot of soup stock, so they came back frequently to add more!
Lots of vegetables!
Turnips, burdock root, shimeji mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, green onions, and more!
This is for 6 people, so there were 2 sets!
The vegetables go very well with this soup stock!
Zao Pork
This meat has a lot of fat!
There were 3 sets of this for 6 people!
I thought it would be greasy and sticky because it has so much fat.
But to my surprise, it was not greasy at all!
The broth was also not greasy at all, which was amazing!
The fact that it didn't turn white even after it cooled down shows that it is a good pig!
Dashimaki Tamago (rolled egg)
This was a big hit last time!
I didn't request it, but I'm so glad it was included!
My companion and I, who love "dashimaki tamago" (rolled egg), were talking about adding it to the menu!
They use Ran-O eggs from Oita Prefecture!
No wonder they are orange!
I personally love these eggs and go out of my way to buy them!
The ratio of the soup stock is really good!
We were offered a choice of beef tongue, tempura, or beef tongue stew, so we ordered two servings each!
The beef tongue is of course juicy and delicious, since the restaurant is located in Miyagi Prefecture!
And of course, it was served with pickled Chinese cabbage!
The tempura was fried crispy and you can tell they use clean oil!
Salt is the best for this kind of tempura!
The tongue stew is just as good as the one we had last time at a Western restaurant!
The tongue is tender and you can feel the depth of the wine!
The last dish is boiled soba noodles!
We put it in a pot and eat it with shabu shabu!
It's a pity we are so full!
My companion was eating it with salt and pepper instead of shabu shabu!
I tried to imitate her, and it was so delicious!
Soba noodles are better when they are cold!
Well, this is a very reasonable price for 4,000 yen per person, isn't it?
It was quite a lot even for 6 foodies. ・・・・
If I were to reflect on it next time, I would say that the amount of hot pot is too much for the number of people, so I should make it smaller.
The owner is very kind, so I think it would be a good idea to ask him about it!
I was also sad that the oysters from Matsushima were out of season!
I'll definitely eat them this winter! I'm going to eat them this winter!
It's very close to Higashimikuni station, so I highly recommend it!

New Year's party with local members.
After the first restaurant, my companion requested to go here! After the first restaurant, my companion requested to go here!
The atmosphere at night is much better!
There is a small tsuboniwa garden in the back of the restaurant, and there is also a ranma (a Japanese transom).
Now, let's have something to eat before we eat soba noodles, shall we?

Why not pick up some Ichinen Oysters?
Cheers to Tantakatan with soda!
Order what you want to eat one by one
Zao Kakuni and boiled egg!
You will be surprised at how tender they are!
They fell apart with the chopsticks!
So tender and delicious!
The boiled egg was also cut into pieces so that the three of us could share it!
The taste was not too sweet, but just the right amount of sweetness!
Dashimaki Tamago
I love dashimaki tamago!
And so does my companion!
This is the second time I had dashimaki tamago that day!
Why are dashimaki tamago at soba noodles restaurants so delicious?
They are so delicious!
Soft and fluffy, with a hint of dashi broth, it's really delicious!
They must be using the best eggs!
Beef tongue stew
The tongue is tender and tastes just like it would at a Western-style restaurant!
It's deep and smooth!
Ahhh, the tongue stew at a soba noodle restaurant was delicious!
And lastly, we had zaru soba (cold soba noodles)!
The buckwheat noodles were firm and tasty!
I don't know much about soba, but I think I like this soba the best!
Soba nabe (buckwheat hot pot) served here looks delicious, too, doesn't it?
I'll have to come back again with everyone!

When I went to the restaurant I wanted for lunch, it was temporarily closed. ・・・・
It was a very hot day and I didn't feel like eating hot food...
Then, I thought my choices would be cold udon or cold pasta.
As I was wandering around on my bike, I saw a sign for soba noodles!
That's right! I had heard there was a new restaurant here!
It's hot, let's go in!
Shoginan Shoginan's main store is located on the Matsushima Coast of Miyagi Prefecture.
Located on the Matsushima coast of Miyagi Prefecture, Shoginan is a restaurant with a spectacular view of Matsushima and is situated on the site of the former inn of Kunosuke, where haiku poet Matsuo Basho stayed during his travels.
Of course, the main restaurant was damaged by the earthquake and reopened less than two months later.
Thank you very much for opening a branch in Higashimikuni.
Inside the restaurant, there is a counter and table seating.
I wonder if there is a second floor? I'm not sure about that.
I can only say that the first floor was very small and only had tables for two.
I don't think it is suitable for a large group, and I think you should inquire about it.
Lunch menu is mainly Soba
Jyuwari Soba Set Meal 1,000 yen
Kake-soba or mori-soba, rice cooked in a small bowl & pickles
Tenzaru soba with tempura for an additional 700 yen
Tempura soba (tempura soba): additional 700 yen
Zao Pork Kakuni Soba with Pork Trotter Kakuni Soba: additional 350 yen
Zao pork tenderloin kakuni tsuke-soba: add ¥350
Soba with grated yam and yam (hot or cold) add ¥350
Soba noodles with grated spicy radish (hot/cold) add ¥250
Zao Pork Curry Soba Noodle - add ¥250
Meigetsu soba (hot) an additional 200 yen
Zaru soba: additional 50 yen
Seasonal Soba: additional 180 yen
Nishin soba 850 yen
All soba noodles are made with juwari (buckwheat) flour, and set menus are available for an additional charge.
I found only Nishin Soba on the menu... Did I overlook it?
After ordering, it took a little time, but we drank soba tea and waited!
This buckwheat tea tastes like buckwheat seeds and is quite delicious!
Soba-tea was also available for purchase!
Soba set meal! It was hot, so of course we had mori-soba!
Soba noodles, rice cooked with rice, chilled tofu, dried radish, eggplant with minced chicken, scented vegetables
The soba has a nice aroma and firmness.
The dipping sauce has a little bit of soy sauce, but it is slightly sweet.
It is quite tasty and I like it better than my neighbor Jinkuro's soba!
Jyuwari Soba is made without using any kind of glue, so you can enjoy the true flavor of the noodle.
This is very tasty!
The side dishes are all homemade, and of course the takikomi gohan is delicious!
The fact that it's a bit like "okowa" is also a nice touch!
I didn't take a picture of the soba-yu (buckwheat water), but it was smooth and easy to drink!
In the evening, you can enjoy Miyagi's famous beef tongue and dishes using Miyagi's specialties while drinking Miyagi's local sake!
I think this is a very nice restaurant!
It's a little hard to find, but I think it's a good place to hide out and enjoy the atmosphere!
I hope it will be in business here for a long time!
A nice kappou restaurant opened in our hometown!
This March, a kappo-ryou restaurant opened in Higashimikuni, our hometown!
There are not many restaurants in this genre, so I'm very happy!
It is located about 5 minutes down the stairs on the east side of the south ticket gate of Higashimikuni station.
It is also a 10-minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station, so it is in a good location!
The simple appearance of the restaurant makes it look like a kappo (Japanese cooking) or small restaurant! It looks like a kappo/small restaurant!
Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats as soon as you enter, and 3 tables (4 seats x 3) in the back.
It is a new restaurant, so you can use it for business entertainment or a date in a clean and calm space.
The four of us were seated at a table in the back.
There is a course menu, but this time we each ordered what we wanted! We decided to order a la carte!
Cheers with a glass of white wine!
Appetizer
Vinegared Kata cucumber, rock mozuku seaweed and oca hijiki with muscat
A refreshing, cool and summery dish!
It's interesting to match muscat with this!
They did a good job without fighting or blurring!
Assorted Sashimi
Served in two batches!
The first one was 4 kinds of sashimi: Izu sea bream, Sukumo bonito, Sukumo bluefin squid, and kuei (Japanese kelp)!
The four slices were served in four separate portions so that the four of us could share them easily!
The sea bream was grilled on the skin, so it had a wonderful savory and sweet flavor!
The squid was moist, sweet and very tasty!
Next, we were served Mie's rock oysters and Oma's sea urchins!
We split one half between us, but it was a large rock oyster, so we had plenty to go around!
It was so creamy and had no bad smell! Yum!
The sea urchin was also portioned out for each of us!
This kind of attentive service makes me very happy!
Today's Dashimaki Tamago
Whenever I find a dashimaki, I order it!
This is a dashimaki with grated corn!
It's covered with a sweet soba-tsuyu (buckwheat sauce) starchy sauce!
I thought it looked thick, but it wasn't at all! I thought it might be too thick, but it wasn't at all!
It was like a different kind of food, with a lingering taste of the ankake!
Summer Vegetable Salad
A very colorful dish!
It is a salad, but I used white asparagus in the soup dressing!
We divided it among four of us, so it was a little bit at a time.
It was so delicious that I think each person could have eaten enough of it!
I guess they carefully back the asparagus!
It was smooth and very tasty!
Deep-fried Kawachi duck thigh and vegetables
The duck was very juicy when fried!
I think this may be the first time it has been deep-fried!
The vegetables were not over-fried and the texture was preserved, so I enjoyed it!
Awaji onion and pike conger eel shabu shabu shabu!
The group next to us ordered it and it smelled so good!
We should order it too!
Let's share one between the two of us!
Awaji Island onions and hamo (hamo conger) shabushabu in broth!
When you start with the onion, the sweetness of the onion becomes the broth, and it's really delicious!
The broth itself is delicious, but it tastes even better!
The hamo (Japanese conger eel) is so plump, it makes you want to eat more!
Sauteed hamo clams with sake-soy sauce!
The crunchy texture of the clams and the mild sake steal makes me want to drink more sake!
I don't like salty type, so this was my favorite!
Crispy Grilled Sea Bream with Scales
Crispy grilled scales are so delicious!
I can't get enough of this texture!
While the outside is crispy and browned, the inside is soft and fluffy!
Ahhhh, it's the most delicious!
Earthen Pot Rice with Toyama Shrimp and Various Beans
The aroma of the white prawns is so good!
The various beans in this dish were so much fun to eat!
The rice, too, was made from a delicious rice I don't remember where, and it was delicious!
I was so happy while enjoying it!
It takes time, so order early!
Finally, we all enjoyed a little bit of rare sake, Otters, and Polished 20% and 30%!
It's so refreshing and easy to drink - I wonder if it's okay for someone like me to drink such a rare sake?
We drank a lot, ate a lot, and paid a little over 6,000 yen per person!
When I heard the bill, I was a bit surprised at the price for such a large meal!
I wonder if it was Higashimikuni price?
I'm so happy to have such a wonderful restaurant in my hometown!
As the seasons change, of course the ingredients will change, and we can look forward to that, can't we?
The location is also close to Shin-Osaka, making it easy to bring customers from far away!
I'm sure it will be very popular~!
I would like to come back again!
Thanks for the food!
If you want to eat fresh fish around here, this is the place to go!
2011,12
It has been a long time since I visited here at night!
I'm a member of this group's newsletter.
I'm a member of this group's newsletter, and on a day that falls on a 7, they have a big lottery for fine foods, and I won (lol).
On this day, I won a fantastic high-end fish, the bluefin tuna!
By the way, there are also days when you can win fugu (blowfish) or crab!
This time, the tuna was the winning prize, so I didn't rate the CP.
I was told that the throat tuna would be cooked in the customer's favorite way.
I've never had throat grouper in the first place.
I requested to eat it cooked in various ways!
Sushi, sashimi, grilled, boiled, etc. were served!
Sushi and sashimi are lightly seared.
They are delicious with just the right amount of fat!
It tastes like a sea bream with fat on it.
Both grilled and boiled are delicious.
But the simmered dish tastes exquisite because it is from a place like this.
You can't imitate it at home, can you?
I couldn't leave with just this, so I ordered a few other things as well!
Sushi: salmon, yellowtail, crabmeat, crab meat, squid
Salmon and yellowtail are very fatty. The crabmeat has a bitter taste that is irresistible!
Crab meat and squid are like this...
Buri daikon, after all, simmered yellowtail is delicious!
I thought it was the taste of a craftsman!
And the dessert is well done, too!
The sweet potatoes are softened and strained, and they are warm like chestnut kinton (sweetened chestnuts).
and cold vanilla!
The restaurant offers a wide range of food from sushi to a la carte dishes and desserts.
I've already been to this restaurant so often that I'm graduating from this review!
But if I win again, I might review it.
Thanks for the food!
2011,09
I go here for lunch every month.
The variety of daily specials is really appealing!
The daily sushi special often sells out, so you have to make a reservation!
The grilled eel was delicious and fatty, and the salmon and tartar were a perfect match!
The homemade tartar here is absolutely delicious!
Petit dessert, a service only for ladies! I don't know what is served every time.
but it's nice to have a little something like this!
I am always very satisfied with my lunch!
2011,03
I've been back too many times to give a full review.
I always visit the restaurant according to the daily specials that I want to eat.
Recently, I had the seafood curry, which was delicious with a fine octopus.
The pork stew was also delicious, with a light broth.
The octopus rice had more octopus than the last time!
But the grilled mackerel was huge, so I'll let it go.
I'm glad that a small dessert is included for women!
Men do not get a dessert, but they get a large serving of rice!
Now, let's go get next month's daily calendar!
2010,10
Lunch again!
I come here for lunch about twice a month.
I get a monthly calendar of daily specials and come on the day that looks good!
This time I had Chicken Salt Chanko Nabe!
It's nice to have a nabe lunch when it gets cold...
Chicken, scallops, shrimp, udon noodles, tofu, tsumire, meatballs, and meatballs!
I'm really happy to pay 800 every time!
2010,08
I came again for lunch!
My part-timer and I got hooked on lunch here and plan to come back at least once a month...
This time we decided on the daily special!
The daily special was octopus rice and grilled mackerel!
This big mackerel! I was surprised when it was brought to me! And it was so plump and tasty!
The octopus rice was filled with octopus and smelled delicious!
The takomeshi is also full of octopus and smells great!
Next time I will come in September!
2010.07
I often use this place at night, but this is my first time for lunch!
It's been a while since I've been to the restaurant itself, so I was looking forward to it!
We visited on a weekday after 2pm!
Was the peak of the season over already? There were no seats left at all!
This time, I had a hard time deciding between the daily special and the Kaisen Yukke-don set meal.
Onsen egg in the middle and plenty of finely sliced sashimi around it!
It is surrounded by a lot of finely sliced sashimi on rice!
It's so full that it's hard to decide where to start!
You can taste different flavors of fish, and above all, they are fresh!
I ate about half of the fish and broke the onsen tamago (hot spring egg), but it tasted so different!
It was delicious on two levels!
I was satisfied with my full stomach for 900 yen!
I was really happy that they also served dessert!
I want to come back next time!
