This umeshu is made using homemade rice shochu that has been distilled at normal pressure and aged for three years, specifically to create a nostalgic and refreshing flavor. Freshly selected Tokushima Prefecture's Nankobai plums, with the stems carefully removed by the brewmaster, are steeped in this matured rice shochu for about six months to bring out the original flavor of the plums.
