Exquisite Item
Carefully selected Wagyu enjoyed through 'grilling' and 'steaming'
The point was changed from "3.3" to "4.3"!
Beef Sushi Kinitan opened on January 15, and we have already made our second visit.
This time, I ordered the "Enjoy" course (6,500 yen) and added the platinum yukke.
KINTAN is a famous yakiniku restaurant that is now listed among the 100 best restaurants on the food log, but I had the impression that the Japanese cuisine at this restaurant was very good, as was the meat kappou restaurant "Kintan", which is affiliated with KINTAN.
I was surprised to find that the appetizer "Kuronari" was made of rice with meat inside! The flavor of the meat soaked into the rice.
The hand-rolled red meat yukke and the zabuton (pork belly) were excellent nigiri. The yukke, in particular, is very easy to eat with the added flavor of seaweed. The grilled aged tongue and deep-fried skewers were again excellent.
The torotaku, the final dish, is also full of meat!
We selected the least expensive of the three courses, and were very satisfied with everything.
Needless to say, the Piratina Yukke was too good not to order from the Kintan family.
We got word that the restaurant opened for lunch on March 16, so we went to visit.
The Corridor Street was deserted even during lunch time on weekdays, perhaps due to the Coronavirus, but they decided to move up their schedule and open for business.
Beef sushi and beef bowl set (2,160 yen)
First, three pieces of beef sushi (tomosankaku, hatsu, and seared kone) arrived.
Each of the three has a different taste, and the inclusion of only one seared sushi is very clever!
Here comes the main course!
Harami Steak!
I was happy to see that there were three kinds of sauce for only three slices: salt/wasabi, soy sauce, and steak sauce. Personally, I prefer the salt and wasabi, but all are delicious.
Menchikatsu
It is said to be a menchikatsu made of Japanese black beef and beef tongue.
I was expecting it to be a little bit tough, but it was not tough at all and had a rich meaty flavor.
Beef bowl
The rice is covered with a thick layer of meat that would make a delicious yakiniku if it were grilled with a little salt. The harmony of the tender, easy-to-chew meat and the slightly hard rice is too good to be true.
I was going to have another bowl of soup and salad, which is a typical KINTAN lunch, and then have dessert, but there was something on the menu that caught my attention, so I went back for more.
Beef tongue hamburger set (1,000 yen)
It is a pot that arrives in a Staub pot.
The meat and vegetables are cooked well, but the heat is just enough to retain the texture of the meat and vegetables, so it is easy to eat and the two pieces are worth 1,000 yen!
After lunch, we had two desserts and two drinks, and that was the end of our lunch, thank you very much for the meal.
We visited Beef Sushi Kintan, which opened on January 15.
We went from Shimbashi Station to Fandes Ginza, where the restaurant is located, via the Ginza Ura Corridor, which is probably easily accessible from Yurakucho, Ginza, and Uchisaiwaicho Stations.
When you enter the restaurant, there are tables on the right side, and most of the seating area is private rooms, so the interior design seems to be a reassuring ally for those who need to entertain guests.
Ginza "Kintan" course (8,500 yen)
We chose the middle price from three different courses. The food was generally very good, but I was surprised to see a teriyaki harami sandwich for the end of the course!
The restaurant name this time is "Kintan" in hiragana, not in the traditional alphabetical notation, and I had enjoyed simmered, fried, grilled, and 9 pieces of nigiri. I felt like a "Westerner".
I don't know what the intention was, but I would have been happy to have had a regular roll (either a futomaki type or a seasonal ehomaki type).
The taste and volume are nothing short of amazing!
I would have liked to see this menu not at this meat sushi restaurant, but at the affiliated steak restaurant in Garden Place.
Other items that caught my attention were,
iced sudachi somen noodles.
It was served after the fried dish, so it was probably a mouth freshener, but the sudachi was so effective that I sobbed about 5 times until I finished it, even though it was a small portion, and I wanted a mouth freshener for my mouth. I don't know if the texture of the somen noodles was too dry, so I don't know if it had been too long since it was cooked or if I have a stupid tongue, but I would have been happy if the flavor was a little milder.
Eel and beef roll
The eel fell off when the picture was taken, and even though I found the beef, when I put it in my mouth, my taste buds could not find the beef due to the taste of the eel and the kabayaki sauce.
Hormone-based dishes that I don't remember having much at KINTAN, such as the stewed motsu and kobuchan skewers that came in small bowls, were very tasty and had no smell. The destructive power of the affiliated restaurant's famous 30-day aged tongue was alive and well again this time, and the grilled tongue tip with echire butter was the best I have had this year.
I have written a lot about this restaurant, but as a KINTAN fan, I am highly satisfied with the course content that combines the good points of "Yakiniku KINTAN," "KINTAN STEAK," and "Meat Kappou KINTAN" with meat sushi.
