Actually, this baked curry was ranked first as the most favorite curry among women in Japan on 'Tamori's Waratte Iitomo' (not just baked curry, but all types of curry dishes) in 2006. It's been quite a while since then, but the taste remains just as it was back then.
This is a recreation of the baked curry made in the early 1950s. At that time, there were no fancy ingredients like melting cheese, so we use diced processed cheese on top. But this adds a nice accent! The beef is Kyushu black wagyu. I believe it is much tastier than the beef from back in the day.
