The Best Restaurants in Japan - Miyazaki Jidori Sumibiyaki Kuruma
What is Japan?: Japan’s dining scene is often described as a dialogue between seasons, craftsmanship, and regional identity. From sushi, tempura, and kaiseki to ramen, yakitori, and wagashi, menus tend to highlight clarity of flavor and careful presentation. Travelers may notice distinct local styles: Hokkaido’s seafood, Tohoku’s comfort stews, Tokyo’s soba and modern interpretations, Kansai’s okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, Shikoku’s udon, Kyushu’s tonkotsu ramen, and Okinawa’s island influences. Many venues emphasize dashi, fermented seasonings such as miso and soy sauce, and precise knife work. A tradition linked to tea ceremony hospitality is said to shape the understated service and attention to detail found in many dining rooms. Street-side counters, casual izakaya, and refined multicourse experiences coexist, encouraging spontaneous tastings and planned outings alike. Seasonal specials, chef’s selections, and collaborative pop-ups appear in various neighborhoods, suggesting a food culture that balances heritage with ongoing creativity.

Kyoto's Kuruma-san has a great atmosphere!
Pizzeria Bar Napoli Kyoto Nishiki for lunch, and then wander around some more!
After walking around for a while, we met up with our friends!
They made reservations to eat here for the evening!
It's Kyoto Zen Kuruma!
Kuruma-san, you have a restaurant in Kyoto, too!
I'm so glad because it's my favorite store!
The store is about a 5 minute walk southeast from Hankyu Shijo-Karasuma station
Wow! It's amazingly elegant, tasteful, and very Kyoto-like!
They're renovating a 100 year old machiya!
I was surprised at the atmosphere when I entered the store!
Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats, table seats, and various private rooms.
It is a high-class restaurant like a ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurant).
As I wandered around, the owner showed me the various private rooms.
There was a private room with a garden view, a Western-style room, and a private room with tatami mats?
It was totally different from the restaurant in Osaka!
What a beautiful atmosphere, very Kyoto-like!
What we ordered was
Jitokko Chicken Thigh Tataki!
I can't get enough of the chewy texture of Jitokko chicken!
The rare texture is truly irresistible!
Chicken and Avocado with Wasabi Soy Sauce
This is another item I always order when I go to the car!
The chicken, avocado, and sweet soy sauce go so well together!
If you are a woman, I think you will love this!
Boiled Liver
This is another must-have!
This moist and creamy!
There is no smell at all, and the rare taste is really delicious!
You definitely can't make this by yourself!
Char-grilled Jitokko Jidori Chicken Thighs
This is another must-order!
The aroma from the charcoal gives the thighs a firm, chewy texture!
The yuzu kosho goes well with it!
Tsukune and Jitokko Chicken Tsukune!
The Tsukune is coated with sauce and deep-fried to perfection.
The outside is crispy and the inside is soft and fluffy!
The other tsukune is salted tsukune.
It is very fluffy and you can really taste the chicken flavor!
I seem to eat both every time!
To finish off the meal, I ordered the Jitokko Ramen!
The chicken broth is very well made, and it's extremely tasty!
I think it would definitely be good even if it was just a ramen restaurant!
The perfection is so high!
There are some places that have this ramen and some that don't!
If there were, I would almost always order this dish!
For dessert
Warabi rice cakes, pineapple yogurt ice cream, and thick pudding!
I'm glad that I can order a few of these when there are a lot of people!
The rice cake is made of real warabi flour, so it is very authentic!
The ice cream is made with yogurt, so it is refreshing!
The thick pudding is delicious with a strong egg taste!
The level of desserts is also very high!
I wish they would make a dessert shop for cars!
The food is consistent no matter which restaurant you go to!
The girls in the hall wore kimonos and were very graceful, and the atmosphere was very nice.
The food was better than usual!
I still like Kuruma-san!
Thank you for the food!

I guess it goes well with sweet soy sauce~!
And this is another Jitokko Ramen recommended by Kuruma-san!
Toppings come on a separate plate, so you can top it up yourself!
The chashu is, of course, chicken!
The soup is also chicken based and very tasty!
I am a ramen soup eater, but I will drink up all of the broth!
Chicken is collagen, after all!
It's a perfect dish for rice!

I'm a car lover, and this is my first appearance at the Umeda store!
The Umeda store is located just inside Ippudo!
There are 4 floors from the 1st floor to the 4th floor, including a VIP private room on the 4th floor!
All floors except the first floor have horigotatsu (a table with a hole in the floor), and you must take off your shoes!
There are a few large rooms for boots, too.
This time, we decided to have nabe (hot pot)!
There are two kinds of nabe, mizutaki and chicken shabu shabu!
This time, we decided to have chicken shabu shabu (1,800 per person)!
Let's toast with a squall made in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture!
When you come to the car, you must order it!
Charcoal grill and liver stew: !!!!
Charcoal-grilled with firm chewiness and braised liver with creamy tenderness!
It is my iron plate!
The hot pot is a spicy soup, but it's really just a little spicy!
If you like spicy food, you may not feel it!
Lightly shabushabu-shabu with chicken that has become tataki
Chewy and elastic, it is delicious!
Shabu shabu shabu of the local chicken♪ I'm going to be addicted to it!
You can choose between Zosui (rice porridge) and Udon (udon noodles) for the end of the nabe.
The taste is even more delicious with Zosui!
Zosui is full of soup stock and delicious!
Mr. Kuruma! It's still delicious!
Every restaurant I go to serves delicious food!
It's a wonderful restaurant!
feast samantha~♪♪♪

You don't have to go to Miyazaki to eat local chicken!
Kuruma, I visited Kuruma Kitashinchi before and it's been a long time!
Kuruma-san serves Miyazaki Jidori!
I had it in Miyazaki, but Kuruma's is definitely better!
The only regret is that the person next to me smoked a lot!
It was so bad that my partner wanted to move to a different seat!
The waitress gladly changed it for us!
Jitokko Jidori chicken mix
Sunazuri (chicken sandwiched between sheets of sand)
Seseri
Jidamago Tamagoyaki (fried egg)
Boiled liver
Cartilage
Harami (minced meat)

If you come to Kuruma-san, you must have charcoal-grilled Jitokko chicken!
A mix of thigh and breast! The more you chew, the more the flavor spreads!
The more you bite into it, the more flavorful it becomes. The aroma of the charcoal is very fragrant!
Delicious as always!
Fried egg, dark and rich in color!
Fluffy and delicious!
The stewed liver was the best of all the dishes we ordered that day!
Smooth and sticky, too creamy!
It was so delicious that I wanted to take it home with me!
I was satisfied with the chicken kamameshi and the charred rice!
It takes a while, so order early!
The waitresses, they work so crispy and pleasant~!
Especially, I think that girl worked the hardest!
Mr. Car, your partner is delicious, why didn't you bring him in sooner?
He loved it so much that he said!
Each restaurant has a different concept, so maybe I should try to conquer all of them!
I recommend it, Mr. Kuruma!
