It's not takoyaki! It's a motsumaru! That's why we went to Motsu Maru... The reason why we decided to go there in the first place is because when my companion passed by here on this day I heard that he promised the girl who was working hard that he would definitely come back next time. And so we came to make good on that promise. Go down the stairs and you'll find the store. By the way, you can also enter the store from the River Walk. The restaurant is a small store with a counter and 2 tables (4 seats x 2 tables). It looks a little cluttered, doesn't it? The day we visited was a hot day in the middle of Obon The inside of the restaurant was so hot from the griddle that the air conditioner was not even working. The two female waitresses were working hard and sweating. The menu consists mainly of teppanyaki dishes! The most popular among them is the "motsumaru"! This is a takoyaki that has motsu in it instead of takoyaki octopus! The outside is crispy and the inside is doughy and delicious! I guess you can put takoyaki with taro in it too... We also ordered yakisoba noodles with sauce, stir-fried vegetables and zuri! They all tasted average! The way they work so hard makes me want to support them so much! Maybe you can take out and eat while watching Dotonbori! Good luck in Dotonbori, Mr. Motsumaru!
