In the past few years, I have been visiting this place every month during my business trips to Kyoto. The food is all wonderful. I mainly focus on seafood and sake pairings, but the meat dishes and the closing menu are also substantial. Personally, I find that the seasonal sashimi and the lightly grilled seasonal fish with salt, along with the homemade salted fish that varies by season, are the best match for sake. The selection of sake is also a lovely choice, mainly featuring rare sake from breweries in Shiga. This place is like my ace that I visit every month.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice with a U-shaped counter, and I was grateful that they prepared a corner seat for me, perhaps because I had made a reservation. They also informed me that other guests would be sitting next to me upon entering, which was a thoughtful touch that left a good impression. There were two other staff members besides the owner, which made it easier to place orders, and that was also good. Since the menu is for two people, if one person comes alone, it would be nice to receive an additional menu so that guests can relax and enjoy without worrying about each other. The food was delicious as always, and I definitely want to go again, so I would be happy if the above points were improved.

I finally made it! The shop owner, the staff, and even the regulars sitting next to me were friendly, and it was very comfortable. I believe they said, 'We don't overdo the ingredients; we cook them as they are delicious,' and I was moved by that policy. The dishes we had were simple and just delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the simmered dish, salt-seared Spanish mackerel, and shrimp and sesame tofu spring rolls (they taught me how to make it, and I will try it at home), along with some delicious sake. Izakayas in Kyoto are wonderful. I really envy the regulars in the neighborhood.

All the dishes I ordered were delicious. Since the restaurant was fully booked, it took a little time for each dish to be served, but since they were delicious, I think it balances out. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I visit Kyoto.

I always feel the seasonal delicacies and I am happy to encounter the master's proud selection of local sake. Above all, I realize that to sip from a cup in the orderly inner palace is a joy unique to this place in the world. It is also wonderful that we can start the banquet from 1 PM.

I liked that the space wasn't too large, and I personally enjoy being able to see the cooking from the counter. The oden was incredibly delicious, especially the flavor of the daikon, the ginger tempura, and the beef tendon, which were exceptional. Other menu items were also tasty, and I would like to use this place again.

Everything I ate was delicious, and the staff were very pleasant. I think it's easy to visit since they are open from 1 PM. I would like to visit again.
