Fabulous dining experience, solo or otherwise. I ate here in 02/2025; while everything was outstanding, I’d highlight Kiyama-san’s masterful use of and respect for water, which could reflect an ever deeper care for guests. Drink pairing is a must - I was served a variety of local soju and imported/curated natural wines (the latter are surprising given cuisine but, suddenly, incredibly tasteful) pairings. From steamed dishes to dashi-making to his hand-blown water-drinking glasses, you can sense care and homeliness at Kiyama.

Experience of a lifetime. The meal reflects the art of a skilled chef and craftsman. Each dish is a subtle and honest representation of the ingredients. There are only a few remaining master soba makers that demonstrate such care and talent.
