Authentic Sanuki Udon in Osaka One day during GW, I went to Tower Records to do something my friend asked me to do. After running some errands, I went to the building in front of the station for lunch. Yes, that's right, I went to the building in front of the station! That's right! There was a good udon restaurant somewhere, wasn't there? We searched on the food log and went to Udonbou after confirming that they were open during the GW holiday season! Osaka Ekimae Daisan Bldg. B2F Udonbou's main restaurant is located in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, and you can also find it here in Osaka! Many of my reviewers have visited this famous restaurant! Inside the restaurant, there is a counter and table seating, but since we sat in the front, we couldn't see what was going on in the back. The menu was a special menu because it was a holiday during the GW weekend! Chiku Tamago Hiyaten 990 Yen (1190 Yen set) Tsukemen noodles 780 yen (set includes 980 yen) Takoten Udon Noodle 880 Yen Oroshi (grated radish) ¥550 Zaru 600 yen Champon noodles 850 yen I was really interested in the beef tsukemen. ・・・・ I had no choice. I ordered the chiku-tama hiyaten set! Ordered without really knowing what the set was! It came a while later and confirmed that the set was ginger rice! It would be nice if you could tell me this when I order... The rice was well seasoned with ginger and cooked to perfection! And the udon noodles had long chikuwa, shiso, shrimp, and sweet potato on top, all finely battered and crispy! The tempura is of a very high level! The udon noodles are firm and gummy! It is quite filling and may be my favorite udon next to Sanuki Udon Shirouan! Dashi broth is poured over the udon, and the dispenser is filled with squeezed juice of sudachi (a Japanese citrus fruit)! It makes the taste more intense, and you can enjoy it twice! I am quite full! 1,190 yen, I honestly don't think it's cheap! I'm a little satisfied with the fullness and the taste, but if it's a set, I'd at least like to try it. I would be happy if the price was at least 1,000 yen for the set. The udon is really delicious! Handmade udon noodles are so different! Next time, I'll have beef tsukemen on weekdays!

UDON BAR Udon Noodle Bar has been rated as one of the top 100 udon restaurants in Japan for three consecutive years and 3.84 on the food log! I had the udon with chiku-tama hiyaten udon recommended by the owner! The tempura is freshly fried and the sudachi on top is delicious! Only ¥990!
