As you pass through the entrance at the back of a quiet alley, there is a magnificent tank in the center where you can see the swimming fish clearly. The counter surrounding it has beautiful wood grain, and just sitting there is exciting. The interior is clean down to the last corner, and the light from the fugu lanterns creates a gentle atmosphere. The fugu sashimi, grilled fugu, fried fugu, fugu hot pot, and the final zosui (rice porridge) were all satisfying with their elegant seasoning. It was delightful to have the craftsmen finish the grilling and hot pot right in front of me, serving it at the perfect time to eat. The fragrant fugu fin sake and the meltingly tender shirako (fish milt) also left a lasting impression.
