My family and I really enjoyed our experience at Torisawa 22. This is a small and intimate restaurant so you definitely need to make reservations ahead of time. We tried a delicious 20 something item menu. I wish my memory was better but suffice to say, they were all very very delicious. All I know this is a place I would gladly return to next time I'm back in Tokyo.

I went to the popular yakitori restaurant 'Torisawa 22' in Nishiazabu. Here, each skewer is large and satisfying, making the yakitori very appealing. The grilling is exquisite, with a wonderful charcoal aroma, and each bite releases the delicious flavor of the chicken. The omakase has a nice stop system, allowing you to enjoy at your own pace, so I was able to relax and enjoy my drinks. This time, I focused on sake, but there is also a rich selection of champagne and wine. It's a nice point that you can enjoy it by the bottle as well. In particular, the tsukune and chouchin, as well as the grilled vegetables, were impressive, and everything was cooked with care. I enjoyed every bite until the end. It seemed that there were overlapping reservations that day, so the seating was a bit compact, but usually, there are 8 seats in a spacious setting. I have found another favorite restaurant that I want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I was very disappointed with the experience. There were guests that were very loud during our dinner that took away from the experience and staff members did not address this. Additionally, there was no information on what was being served. This was the worst meal I had in Japan despite having kind staff and a beautiful venue. I would not recommend and feel slighted.

Introductory yakitori with only 8 counter seats Torisawa22@Hiroo The owner of the famous Tori Sawa restaurant, Tori Sawa 22, serves yakitori. 22, a restaurant that is extremely difficult to make reservations for. I was so impressed at Torisawa in Kameido in the past I was so impressed by Tori Sawa in Kameido in the past that I wanted to go there for sure. Budget: 10,000 yen and up Inside: L-shaped counter with 8 seats Clientele: 20's to 60's Leave it to us until you say "stop! Raw liver Peach Hatsumoto Quail ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) Oak liver chicken gizzard chicken giblets Kinshinbana (Brassica campestris var. amplexicaulis) Ponzu (ponzu peel) Japanese parsley Chochochin chicken wing tip Chicken Soboro-Don with Eggs All the skewers were delicious, but but Hatsumoto is unforgettable. The owner was very kind and nice. I got his business card, but I wonder when I will be able to make a reservation again. LOL!

The taste of the food was personally quite to my liking. However, since I drove there, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't drink alcohol. On the other hand, I felt that the interior had a bit of a stuffy smell, and the ventilation did not leave a very good impression. Therefore, when going for a meal, you might want to be a bit mindful of your clothing, especially if you have other plans after the meal. The taste of the food was very much to my liking, so that was the only thing that concerned me a little.

I visited for the first time with a friend. There were only 8-9 seats at the counter, and the atmosphere was homey with a close distance to the chef. We were able to spend a very nice time. The food was mainly grilled chicken, but occasionally there were vegetables mixed in, making for a course that didn't get boring. Each skewer was a bit larger, but we were able to enjoy almost all the dishes without any trouble. For the final course, there were various options like TKG, seasoned rice, noodles, and mixed rice. It seems there are many regular customers. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to visit again.
