Regular course (11,600 yen) featuring beef cutlet and loin cutlet sandwich, available only at lunch time We were invited to a meat party at Kochira, a short walk from Araiyakushi-mae Station (^o^) While we were drinking beer with salad and assorted kimchi, a boatload of Yamagata beef was docked in front of us. There is a light next to the exhaust duct, so I turned it on and took some photos. Looking at the name plate, we see the names of popular yakiniku parts such as top ribs, top loin, top harami, fillet, and ichibo! In addition to the regular yakiniku sauce, we used different kinds of sauce for kalbi, lemon, salt and pepper, Yamagata soy sauce, hot pepper paste, and wasabi according to the proprietress's instructions. The rice to accompany the yakiniku was "Tsuyahime" rice from Yamagata, cooked a bit hard for my liking. I finished off the Kalbi and Harami with OTR (on the rice), and for the first time in a long time, I had to have another serving of rice at a Yakiniku restaurant (>_<). I kept eating the meat, which was sometimes in large or thick portions, but there was no kudzu at all (according to Satoh's gastrointestinal test)! After eating all the meat, we had the beef cutlet. Each portion is about 2 cm in length, but the quality of the meat is such that it can be chewed through with little effort. Dip it in the homemade sauce specially made for the beef cutlet. The loin cutlet sandwich came in a package of two, so I had one freshly fried in the restaurant and the other at home the next morning. The bread is specially ordered from a bakery, so it is not only soft and fluffy, but even the ears are delicious. And above all, the cutlet inside is bigger than the bread! And last but not least, the sorbet. The quality and quantity were both excellent.

Less than a 20-minute walk from JR Nakano Station, at first I thought it might be a bit far, but it was surprisingly easy to get there on all level ground. Recently, this yakiniku restaurant has become a hot topic of conversation among fellow gourmets. Visiting at lunch time, I ordered without hesitation the "beef cutlet set meal" that a follower had recommended. The restaurant is in the middle of a residential area, but we found many celebrity autographs inside the restaurant (^o^). The beef cutlet is almost rare, but since it is cooked rare, there is no smell at all. We were recommended to eat it with sauce, but it was also delicious plain or with rock salt. At first, I was worried that I might not be able to bite through such a thick cutlet, but I finished it without straining my jaw. It was really delicious! The refrigerator in the restaurant is full of chunks of meat...I definitely want to come back at night next time. Anyway, I will definitely come back again!
