[Kyoto Pontocho] I visited Ichi-matsu, known for its "vegetables and wine," which is part of the well-regarded Ichiya group. Since all the group’s locations are popular, I recommend making a reservation in advance. A la carte ◇ Mentaiko cream cheese potato salad with Beni Haruka sweet potatoes ◇ Mascarpone that pairs well with drinks ◇ Cold yellowtail carpaccio ◇ White wine stew with daikon radish and beef tendon ◇ Kinosaki crab and mitsuba rice The menu is extensive and changes significantly depending on the season and day, so it seems like you can enjoy it without getting bored no matter when you go. They served us recommended wines generously. The last red wine was poured more than half a glass, and I had a great time getting tipsy. Haha. Pontocho, with its adult charm, has many wonderful shops. I want to visit Kyoto again at the right time.

We added an all-you-can-drink course and a few single items. The hot pot of the course consisted of thin slices of pork and plenty of vegetables. We could have had another helping of fresh vegetables and would have been full just from the hot pot alone. Gojimatsu really does serve great vegetables! And the cosmetics are amazingly good! I love all of their restaurants, including their affiliate restaurants.
