The Essence of Ooyama Chicken, Masterfully Cooked Rare
The flagship store of the yakitori specialty chain 'Torisawa,' which has three locations in Tokyo. Nestled in a quiet corner of Kameido, we offer Ooyama chicken, infused with the aroma and residual heat from binchotan charcoal, served in a chef's choice format that allows you to indulge to your heart's content. Beyond the small noren (curtain) without a sign, the exquisite taste of our meticulously cooked 'rare' dishes awaits.
What an amazing place the food was incredible went for the chefs choice which is the only way to go as he's a true master at his job he knows exactly what to put one after another bringing out the full flavours.
When I next return to tokyo I will be booking again and this time bringing my wife and son.
If you have the fortune to get a space grab it you will not be disappointed from start to finish the staff are great and make the meal complete.
Really nice yakitori with good selection of alcoholic drinks available to pair with food. Small counter with skewers freshly grilled right in front of diner. The chef and server are friendly and accommodating. Pleasant dining experience in general. Not sure if there're one of the best in Tokyo but I would recommend it to whoever interested in wanting to try yakitori. Thank you!
Yakitori restaurant in Kameido.
This was my first visit, and I heard that it was recently renovated! This time we visited with 6 people and had dinner at a table.
The food is an omakase course only, and grilled dishes are served one after another until you stop.
Among the dishes we tried, the following were particularly tasty,
Chochin
Hatsumoto
Tsukune
Shoulder meat
shoulder meat
Quail egg
Blood and liver
The portions are smaller than torishiki, so it's an easy size for female customers to eat.
The bill was 12,000 yen/person (^o^) because of the good tempo of the food and the sake.
I wish I could go back!
If you like Yakitori, you must go to this handsome
An impressive yakitori restaurant.
Every time I saw your post, I always wanted to go there! I have always wanted to go to Tori Sawa.
I ate about 18 pieces of chicken because they kept coming out until I said "stop".
I ate 18 of them, and everything was delicious!
I was especially impressed with
Maruhatsu, Chochin, and liver.
The liver was the most tender, surpassing Yuu and Seo.
The maruhatsu was the best with its plumpness.
The chochin was also the best with its rich yolk.
The other skewers are also delicious and the atmosphere is great,
The timing of the skewers was good, and I was very satisfied with everything.
I would like to go back.
As someone who works at a yakitori restaurant (a small, independent shop), my expectations were quite high. I felt that the menu displayed at the shop didn't differ much for the price. However, everything from the cooking method, texture, to flavor was completely different. They provided skewers that were exceptionally delicious and simply not commensurate with the price. The price definitely falls into the category of high-end yakitori restaurants, but although the selection of sake, whiskey, and shochu was not extensive, all the varieties were satisfying to drink. If I had to say one thing, it would be that despite having many delicious sake options, I wanted to enjoy drinking while discovering which skewers or dishes paired well with which sake.
Tokyo Kameido
The head restaurant of the famous "Torisawa" family. As one would expect from a restaurant that has won numerous awards every year.
Reservations are required, but I have the impression that it is not that difficult to get a reservation.
Omakase course (stop system)
You can eat as much as you like. I ate too much...
You can choose from three types of rice dishes. I hear that many people order all of them.
Especially, the chonchin is very satisfying! It was delicious.
I liked the counter seating. I'm curious about the other affiliated restaurants.
I am a visitor from Hong Kong
The foods are season well, unbelievably tender and juicy
Charcoal grill enhance the overall favor of the food
This is the best yakitori restaurant i have in Japan and I will definitely come again.
Everything was delicious! I was really looking forward to the chochin, and I love that little bite when I put it in my mouth. The ochazuke (rice with green tea) at the end of the meal was also delicious, and they took care of us a lot. I would like to come again sometime. Thank you very much.
It was good that the reservation was not full even though it was paid. The order stop system for grilled chicken is nice. The level of grilled chicken was indeed high, so the satisfaction was also high. The selection of wine was mostly from the same importer, but I enjoyed it.
