The selection of shochu is very rich, and my heart dances at the sight of the shelves full of bottles. The oden has a well-balanced flavor from flying fish stock, and while it is refreshing, it has a deep umami. In addition to the classic ingredients, the slightly unusual fillings like gyoza and tomatoes were fun and delicious. The fish dishes were also plentiful, and I was satisfied with everything from sashimi to grilled and simmered dishes. In particular, the dried kibinago and thick fried horse mackerel had a pleasant texture and aroma. For the finale, I chose warm Goto udon, and the combination of gentle broth and tororo was comforting.
