Haha
I had only been there for lunch, but this was my first time going for dinner. The evening was amazing❗This is what Matsu is all about. The service is fun, the carefully selected ingredients are full of flavor, the decor is tasteful, and the precious dishes are amazing. The sake was mainly from Kyoto, which is understandable considering that many of the customers are from outside of the prefecture, but for us local customers, it would have been nice to have a little more sake from all over the country. But as I expected, they seem to be prepared to meet our expectations. A first-rate business will meet all expectations and go above and beyond what you can imagine. This restaurant is truly one of those first-class places. Of course, it is not cheap, but the food, service, and setting are worth it. One thing to note is that payment is by cash only. I highly recommend you visit.

A traditional tea house that captures the essence of Kyoto
Yuno Chaya is a charming tea house located by the Nishiyoshiji Temple in Kyoto. Upon entering, you can fully immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Kyoto, accompanied by a refreshing breeze. The elegant tororo soba is particularly popular here, with its sticky tororo and cold soba creating a perfect combination. It's an ideal spot to take a break and enjoy the ambiance of Kyoto while exploring the area.
I had a cutlet sandwich as a morning meal.
It was very hearty and made me feel very full.
The restaurant has a very quiet atmosphere.
I was able to relax.
Enjoy a pleasant time at this old folk house-style cafe
Musubi x Cafe Onnerinen is a charming old folk house-style cafe with a Nordic-inspired interior. The interior exudes a calm atmosphere, offering a relaxing space. You can enjoy morning, lunch, and sweets made with carefully selected ingredients, including delicious homemade sweets. Whether seated by the window overlooking the Katsura River or at the outdoor bench, you can spend a pleasant time here.
The cakes and parfaits lined up in the glass case are all beautiful, and I feel excited the moment I step in. The interior is bright and tidy, and it's fun how the atmosphere changes from the front to the back. The seats in the back gently catch the light coming through the skylight with the parasol, making it very comfortable. The bear-shaped toast and the honey toast with strawberries and dekopon are both visually appealing and satisfying in taste. I also love the ice coffee topped with bear-shaped ice cream and the affogato with frozen coffee, as they have a wonderful aroma. Since I can take cakes home, I feel happy enjoying the roll cake slowly at home.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant fully deserves its reputation. The selection of neta was impressive, and I felt a sense of security and high quality. The nigiri is imaginative, but the taste is as good as ever. I often finish off my meal with aka-dashi soup, which I highly recommend for a wholesome meal. I would visit again for a casual sushi experience.
Cazaretto is a highly regarded authentic Italian restaurant in Kyoto. Its pasta and appetizers, made with an abundance of fresh seafood, are beloved by many customers. In particular, the olive oil-based pasta featuring white fish and bottarga is exquisite. You can enjoy delicious dishes in a homey atmosphere.
Located in an alley, the restaurant is very atmospheric. The food was excellent, with grilled shimono with ume plum paste, Tosa vinegared junsai, and homemade Hirosu soup all delicious. In particular, the Tanba beef fillet cutlet with Japanese demi-glace sauce was fried crispy on the outside and the meat was very tender. The dessert of kuzukiri was also very tasty, and the portion was very satisfying. This is a wonderful restaurant that did not disappoint, and I will definitely visit again.
We like this restaurant very much and find it difficult to get reservations in town. The food is primarily seafood, but they also have a wonderful selection of meat dishes. They also offer seafood such as oysters, chinook, whale, etc., which I never get tired of. I felt that not only the main restaurant but all of the izakayas are of a high level. I would recommend this group when dining in the Saiin and Katsura area.
