A simple lemonade made only with the juice of Ochan lemons, sugar, and the brewing water from the Kure sake brewery, Senpuku. The Ochan area of Kure City is said to be the oldest lemon-producing region in Japan. During the Taisho era, lemons were exported to America in wooden boxes. These wooden boxes contained instructions in English on how to use lemons and a recipe for lemonade, and this lemonade is made from that old recipe.
