A craft gin based on Japanese sake made by a sake brewery, focused on Nagasaki. Except for the unique juniper berries of gin, all ingredients are sourced from Nagasaki Prefecture, including sake made from locally produced rice, and the aromatic origins of the mandarin orange, lemon, loquat, strawberry, and plum branches are also all from Nagasaki Prefecture. The initial aroma features the unique scent of gin combined with the refreshing fragrances of lemon and mandarin, and when tasted, the aroma of loquat can also be felt.
A genuine rice shochu made with black koji and distilled under reduced pressure, infused for about a month and a half with domestically produced yuzu, juniper berries, chamomile, orange peel, and coriander, carefully extracting a refined and refreshing aroma of citrus and herbs. The original spirits created by distilling each botanical group are blended and redistilled using a meticulous method.
Rare among gins for its focus on blending, it combines over 20 base spirits meticulously distilled from 17 different botanicals. It also pays special attention to the water used in the gin, utilizing natural soft water filtered through camellia charcoal from the mountain behind the distillery. The bottle is designed with the concept of enveloping the complex aromas in camellia flowers, a realization that took artisans over 100 days to achieve.
