I went to a Musashino udon shop located a short walk from Sasazuka Station. The noodles are light brown and resemble soba, yet they have a gentle aroma of wheat. They are chewy with just the right amount of firmness, and with every bite, the sweetness of the wheat brings happiness. When dipped in the sweet and spicy pork soup, the richness of the pork and the broth combine, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. The crispy fried eggplant and burdock tempura were also well-seasoned with salt, making them a perfect match for the udon. The interior, primarily featuring a counter, has a calm atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely meal with my friends.
