I was able to enjoy fresh yellowtail from Ainanchō in a shabu-shabu style, and the melting fat was irresistible. After enjoying a bit as sashimi, dipping it in the ponzu broth allowed me to savor both sweetness and freshness. The appetizers, such as chanja and yellowtail nanban-zuke, as well as the edamame, were all carefully prepared, elevating my mood from the start. The scallops and monkfish liver with ponzu had a smooth texture, making them delicious and perfect to pair with sake. Additionally, the tempura of bamboo shoots and chikuwa was crispy and fragrant, a delight for fried food lovers. The variety of local sake is abundant, and when paired with seafood and vegetable dishes, it naturally leads to a pleasant accumulation of cups.
