Revived as black tea, this is a phantom variety that was created over 60 years ago at Yoshida Tea Garden in Ibaraki but never became widespread. It won the semi-grand prize at the Japan Tea Awards. The top notes combine creaminess with floral aromas, and the long-lasting aftertaste transforms into a refreshing citrus flavor. The aroma and taste become more pronounced as it cools.

This is a strong sencha variety that suits relatively cold regions, produced by Ibaraki Yoshida Tea Garden. The leaves are thick, and the high aroma is a characteristic feature. (Meaning of Kitano Meicha) It offers a new taste that is unexpected for sencha. The top note is toasty, and as it cools, a floral aroma blossoms. It leaves a lingering scent that is unlike anything experienced before.

Benihikari from Kagoshima Nejima Tea House was created by crossing the Japanese 'Benikaori' with the 'Makura CN1' introduced from China. It is a phantom variety developed as a high-quality variety to be proud of in the world. The water color is a beautiful red, characterized by a gentle taste with a slight sweetness. You may also notice a faint menthol-like aroma. This is an organic product made without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Brewed strong, it makes an exceptional milk tea.
