A perfect Italian restaurant I have not had in a long time. Giancarlo is located in Iikura-Katamachi, the best view point of Tokyo Tower and home to many famous restaurants. This is the restaurant of Chef Ozone, the first Japanese chef to win the Naples Pizza Italia Cup held in Italy. He has been in Italy for 7 years, training in several cities in Piedmont, Milan, Rome, Florence, and Naples for one year each. The pizza is baked in an oven imported from Naples, and is better than the pizza we had in Naples, and is so good that we don't think we will ever have another Neapolitan pizza in Japan. I told the chef that it was great that a Japanese won the first place, and he said that he had won the second place several times, but he really wanted to win the first place, so he tried again after returning to Japan and won. For the main course, we chose the herb-roasted lobster and Kumamoto beef steak from the basket of dishes shown to us. Simple Italian cuisine, everyone's favorite taste. The service was excellent, with the chef himself coming to the table several times to explain the menu with a person who had been at the famous Italian restaurant Piccolo Grande in Juban for a long time. And considering the quality, the price is surprisingly reasonable. The terrace is heated and dog-friendly. It is even better that you can buy pudding at Chianti on the way to Iikura-Katamachi after you leave the restaurant. I will be going back again in the future.

Giancarlo" is the ristorante of a Japanese chef who is the pride of Japan and the winner of the annual Pizza Competition held in Italy. The restaurant is located in Katamachi, Iikura, away from the hustle and bustle of Roppongi and the best view point of Tokyo Tower. The Pizza, which won the competition, has thick, satisfying, and authentic Neapolitan ears, and the dough has an exquisite saltiness and chewy texture. Every time I visit this restaurant, I am enchanted to be able to taste such a delicious Neapolitan Pizza in Japan. You can also enjoy the dishes prepared by the chef, who has trained in many different regions of Italy and has perfected his cuisine all over Italy. The pasta is al dente and the taste is astonishing. The cute interior is heated by a tent during the winter, and from now on, we recommend the terrace seats with a view of Tokyo Tower for a more liberating experience. On your way home, enjoy a pudding at the nearby Chianti, a long-established restaurant, and take it home with you.

I personally recommend this restaurant as the most active Italian restaurant in the Azabu area. The chef will show you the fresh ingredients for the meat and fish, and you will discuss the cooking method with him. The chef, who has trained in various places in Italy, offers a wide variety of dishes from north to south, and while retaining local flavors, he has made them to Japanese tastes, making them enjoyable, tasty, and never boring. His pizza is the best in Japan, and his pasta is also great! The chef's pasta is especially fond of Roman cuisine while you can make it as you like. The puttanesca and carbonara are excellent. Although not close to the station, this Italian restaurant is worth a visit.
