Was ist Japan?: Japan’s dining scene is often described as a dialogue between seasons, craftsmanship, and regional identity. From sushi, tempura, and kaiseki to ramen, yakitori, and wagashi, menus tend to highlight clarity of flavor and careful presentation. Travelers may notice distinct local styles: Hokkaido’s seafood, Tohoku’s comfort stews, Tokyo’s soba and modern interpretations, Kansai’s okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, Shikoku’s udon, Kyushu’s tonkotsu ramen, and Okinawa’s island influences. Many venues emphasize dashi, fermented seasonings such as miso and soy sauce, and precise knife work. A tradition linked to tea ceremony hospitality is said to shape the understated service and attention to detail found in many dining rooms. Street-side counters, casual izakaya, and refined multicourse experiences coexist, encouraging spontaneous tastings and planned outings alike. Seasonal specials, chef’s selections, and collaborative pop-ups appear in various neighborhoods, suggesting a food culture that balances heritage with ongoing creativity.

It was very tasty!
We went to a different restaurant by mistake but they politely showed us around. We arrived earlier than our reservation, but they were ready and guided us to the restaurant. I ordered the course and the meat was delicious and the seasoning was just right. We ordered two kinds of hormones, one was the horns and the other was the urtae. I would have been happy if I could have chosen the hormone I wanted. I ordered more, but I appreciate that I can order by the piece. I would like to go back again.

Cheap and great tasting hormone and rice
The last of our monthly meat-eating women's group for the year is here!
Bungo Beef Horumon - Kodawari Rice Takumi-san
There are seven Takumi-san group restaurants in the Nishinakajima area!
I've already visited one of them, but it didn't seem so special to me.
To be honest, I wasn't that keen on the idea...
But my friend told me that this place was really delicious!
My friend who had already visited raved about it, so I trusted her and went!
The place is about a 5 minute walk west from Nishinakajima Minamikata Station, just behind the Yodogawa Pension Office.
The entrance is on the first floor of the Sunrise Building.
You will be surprised when you enter the restaurant!
The atmosphere is casual and café-like, making it easy for women to go there.
I don't mind going to a popular yakiniku restaurant, but
but this kind of restaurant makes me happy as a girl.
There are counter seats, table seats, and private rooms.
The chairs have a storage space under them, so you can store your jackets and bags.
I'm prepared for a little bit of wear and tear, but it's nice to be able to keep things separate like this.
The four of us toasted with Moet Chandon!
Yippee! It's still delicious!
There is a course menu, but this time we ordered a la carte with Daniel's recommendation!
Astonishing Seared Yukke (590 yen)
A large cut of meat is seared with a burner!
What? What is this? What is this? I'm so excited!
After searing, wrap the yolk around the meat and put it straight into your mouth!
Your mouth is filled with happiness at once!
And it disappears in an instant!
This is a must order!
I was hit from the start!
Bungo Beef Dote Stew - 580 yen
Mellowly simmered hormone!
I heard it contains sakekasu (sake lees), so it's mild and not too strong!
You have never tasted such a delicious Dote-nikomi!
Tanmoto/Bungo Beef tongue
The dish is arranged like a flower petal and looks so beautiful!
And the thickness of the tongue!
The moist and crispy texture is irresistible!
To be honest, I don't think of yakiniku as starting with tongue at all, and I'm perfectly fine without it!
But I want to try this again next time!
Assorted Kimchi 490 yen / Assorted Namul 490 yen
This kind of chopstick rest is important!
All of the namul were especially delicious and were served with the meat!
Ultimate red meat 890 yen x 2
Thick meat excites me!
Grilled slowly, the meat exploded in your mouth with flavor and sweetness!
It's so soft and tender, how happy I am!
Roughly chopped radish!
It is a great palate freshener!
Seared horumon (hormone) 690 yen
What's inside?
There was a beautiful hormone inside!
The excess fat has been trimmed off and seasoned with yuzu (a Japanese citrus fruit).
Lightly seared and served!
That's right! The extra fat has been trimmed off, so it's very easy to eat!
As a person who loves hormone, this is a good one!
I was shocked to see such a light and refreshing hormone!
Ginshari Large 590 yen x 2
They are particular about their rice as well!
Mr. Fujii blends the best rice to go with the Horumon!
It takes time, so order early!
Each grain of rice is firm and tasty!
Eating good rice makes me feel glad to be Japanese again!
Sukiyaki ribs - 290 yen per piece
As soon as the rice is ready, we will proceed with this dish as well!
Sear the meat, dip it in the egg, and roll it in rice!
The best and most delicious one!
How can it not be delicious!
This is the best tasting rice ever!
Bungo Beef Harami
You don't often find such a well-seasoned jalami!
Even when grilled, it is very tender and perfect to eat with wasabi!
I love its unique texture, but this is just as delicious!
Kabosu cold noodle 590 yen
A portion is shared among 4 people, and the orange-colored cold noodle is a rarity!
It has a refreshing sour taste and is not too sour!
The noodles are firm and have a firm texture.
I was full, so it was just right for four people to share.
Charcoal pancake with vanilla ice cream 490 yen
The four of us split this one as well!
Pancakes roasted over charcoal and served with ice cream and cream!
The aroma of the charcoal gives off a slight aroma.
I never thought I'd be able to eat pancakes at a yakiniku restaurant, so I'm glad I did!
I ate a lot! I ate a lot!
I'm so full and happy!
I didn't know there was such a good yakiniku restaurant so close by...
Why didn't I go there before?
It's cheap, it's good, it has a nice atmosphere, and I will definitely revisit!
This place is the best!
Thanks Daniel for the delicious meat!
A renowned restaurant where you can fully enjoy authentic yakiniku
Yakiniku Shokudo Takumi is a hidden gem run by an owner who is particular about the quality and quantity of meat. Located in Nishinakajima Minamikata, a fierce competition area for yakiniku, this establishment has gained attention from many media outlets and is quite popular. It offers a visually enjoyable yakiniku experience, allowing you to fully savor delicious meat.
A yakiniku restaurant where you can savor delicious meat from our own farm
TAKUMEAT STORE is a yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy fresh meat, including Oita Wagyu produced at our own farm. You can savor a wide variety of cuts unique to whole cow purchases. In addition to the meat, excellent service and a comfortable atmosphere are also part of the appeal.
This is a members-only restaurant located in Nishinakajima Minamikata. It is on the second floor of the Niku Nakajima Leisure Building, with only six counter seats, creating a calm atmosphere. It's exciting to hear about the meat's quality while gazing at the monitor in front of you. The carefully prepared white beef tripe and the liver and heart finished at low temperatures are very easy to eat. The combination of freshly cooked rice, thick tongue, and flavorful skirt steak is the best. The tororo sukiyaki enjoyed with a broth infused with the umami of clams and the refreshing aroma of citrus in the cold noodles is also very satisfying.
