I visited on the last day of my long-awaited trip to Shimane. The store has a facade that fits the phrase 'a shop loved by the locals.' The friendly staff prepared dishes that evoke a sense of nostalgia, making me forget that I was on a trip. (I found it interesting that the contents of the oden pouch were different from those in the Kanto region!) It’s a very popular shop, so I couldn’t stay long, but I definitely want to go again.

I have always wanted to visit Bistro Cool. The location is directly across from the parking lot in Kyoten, making it very easy to find. The interior has a gentle lighting that creates a comforting atmosphere. I was welcomed by the lovely smile of the madam and took my seat. First, I had a vibrant plate of vegetables. The persimmon sauce served with the shrimp was exquisite. Both the meat and fish were cooked to perfection, and it seemed like the ingredients were delighted. I also had a surprise birthday bouquet for a friend, and the madam asked, 'Shall I bring it with the dessert?' She really understands. When it was time to pay, I was able to meet the chef, and both the chef and the madam exuded warmth, which was clearly reflected in the cooking. Next time, I would like to try lunch as well.
