Upon entering the shop, you are greeted by a warm atmosphere and the gentle smile of the owner. In the tank, starfish are lined up, and I was excited to be able to taste such a rare delicacy. The inside of the starfish is refreshing, with a deep flavor that is different from crab miso. The combination of homemade doburoku (a type of sake) and starfish tsukudani (a type of preserved food) is excellent, making it an irresistible pairing for sake lovers. The sushi and seafood bowl toppings are abundant, including tuna, sea urchin, and squid, and the balance with the rice is exquisite. I was happy to slowly enjoy the seafood from Amakusa at this shop located across a quiet country road.
