Kin Fan is a long-established tempura restaurant that has been open for 30 years; I have been coming here for more than 20 years, almost always alone. Just watching the quiet work of the owner gives me a sense of security; it is a wonderful place to go when you want to be alone and feel joy in secret. On special occasions, homemade sesame tofu is served to lucky customers. The full course of tempura with a bottle of beer and three bottles of Kubota sake came with a roll cake with homemade red bean paste, which was a great value. I was too full to eat the tamago-don, which I always order, but it is a really good restaurant.
