Some of the menu items were beginning to change to autumnal specifications, and there was an earthenware pot rice dish with autumn swordfish and matsutake mushrooms. The menu is expected to change more and more to autumnal specifications from then on. The second restaurant, Souwado, is also apparently popular, as reservations are already hard to come by, and if you go there around 8:30 p.m. and find a seat available, you can get in.

The price was 11,000 yen per person for drinking, eating, and finishing with rice and udon noodles in an earthenware pot. Reservations are accepted up to one month in advance, but recently, perhaps due to the influence of Corona, reservations are rather flexible. The restaurant is cosmetically pleasing, so it is one that I would come back to regularly.

A person who had studied at Takataro for about half a year became independent, and the restaurant has been in operation for less than two years. Recently, Souwado also opened in Ebisu, so it appears that the wife is at Sakai Shokai and the owner is at Souwado. On weekdays, the shop is open from 4:00 p.m., and it is easier to get a reservation early or late, rather than halfway through the day. It is usually possible to get one around 8pm. The food is good, and it has the feel of a high-class izakaya.

The menu changes frequently, so the food itself is not boring. Kumamoto's fried bean curd is delicious, and Souwado offers inarizushi made from this fried bean curd, but I wish Sakai Shokai would offer it as well.

Recently, the takikomi-gohan has changed every time, and this time there was a chestnut rice dish with stewed cubes, which I ordered, and it was also good. The fried bean curd was also good last time, so I asked them to include it in the "omakase" menu this time, too.

The menu has changed to an autumn menu, and the chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) was delicious. It has the same chawanmushi feeling as at Sushi Yuyu. The ham cutlet also goes well with the sauce.
