Totenkaku is a long-established Chinese restaurant with a history of over 70 years located in the Kobe Ijinkan neighborhood. The atmosphere of the restaurant is imposing and luxurious. The service is excellent, and the coloring and presentation of the food is superb. The food prepared by top chefs is exceptional, especially the vinegared jellyfish and the mosaic-like dish combining peanut and duck egg yolk. In addition, the shark fin soup contains stewed shark fins and kinugasa mushrooms for a jerky texture. Totenkaku is a restaurant where you can enjoy truly delicious Chinese cuisine.

A quiet and calm good shop located just a few minutes' walk (3-4 minutes) from JR Motomachi Station, right at the entrance of a back alley (Chōjō Street) between the Kobe Motomachi shopping street and Nankin-dōri. The meal options include several types of curry, all of which looked delicious, but since my companion is not good with spicy food, we ordered 'Khao Man Gai.' It was not spicy at all, and the presentation was beautiful. The combination of rice, chicken, and vegetables was healthy, well-seasoned, and very tasty.
