Currently, it is famous for accounting for over 98% of gold leaf production nationwide. 1g of gold is spread over an area of one tatami mat. Gold leaf is made of pure gold, and gold is actually used in the medical field as a treatment for rheumatism. Kanazawa gold leaf has also been approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for use in food products.
