It's within walking distance from the station, and the bar has a pleasant atmosphere centered around the counter. The taco rice is topped with vegetables and the meat is easy to eat, and the sauce pairs perfectly, making it incredibly delicious. The portion size is substantial, providing a sense of satisfaction. The hot dog has a chewy bun, and the moderate spiciness and juiciness are irresistible. The tacos and spam onigiri are all delicious, and they can be enjoyed as takeout. Since you can receive freshly made items after ordering, it's perfect for a picnic in the park.
il Pregio in Yoyogi Uehara
We had dinner at Il Pregio, an Italian restaurant in Yoyogi Uehara, which was awarded one star in the 2014 and 2015 editions of the Michelin Guide Tokyo.
From the small, pasta-lit restaurant, you can see the chef at work in the kitchen, and the sommelier is attentive to your needs. Without hesitation, we decided on a wine pairing here. We decided to enjoy everything on our own.
First of all, we were impressed by this sommelier's careful explanation. He explained both the dishes and the wines thoroughly, raising our expectations before we ate or drank. And the quality did not disappoint. From the first amuse, I was so impressed that I couldn't help but groan.
I will omit my impressions of each dish for the sake of those who will be going there in the future, but all of the dishes betrayed our expectations in a good way.
The course menu is as follows.
Inizio (2 amuses).
Capsicum of fresh onion/rice taegore, homemade mascarpone, fresh onion, ayu fish roe and Uruka.
Chickpea purée and soybean flour, sweet shrimp and sage oil.
Antipasti (3 appetizers)
Sautéed white asparagus with lactic acid fermented white asparagus emulsion
Lily root gnocchi with basil and basil
Pumpkin and foie gras, rich and light.
Primi Piatti (Pasta/Orzotto)
Tajarin - natural wild vegetables from the Shirakami Mountains.
Orzotto with firefly squid, pickled ginger, marjoram and artichoke purée.
Secondo Piatto (main dish)
Roasted Hokkaido veal with king shiitake crema and mustard seed accents. . Pre Dolce (Mouthfuls)
Cassatina (ricotta, celery, pine nuts)
Dolce (Dessert)
Pecorino cheese torta with thyme gelato
The main course was served and explained by Chef Iwatsubo himself.
I heard that the course changes every two months, so I would like to visit in June next time.
The best Italian food in Yoyogi Uehara!
Thank you very much for the food!
The menu changes every month, and the regular menu items are delicious no matter what you order. The sake pairings are often rare, and I always enjoy them. Additionally, the hospitality is excellent, and I have a very satisfying time.

The initial yukke is hearty and instantly lifts your spirits. It includes rare cuts, and the meat is deliciously tender in your mouth. The style of quickly grilling the sirloin and dipping it in broth and egg is very impressive. The appetizers, kimchi, and salad are also carefully prepared, allowing you to enjoy every dish in between. The finishing touches of wagyu curry and cold noodles are both appealing, especially the cold noodles, which make you want to drink the broth due to its flavor of broth and plum. The private room is calming, and the staff's modest and attentive service was also pleasant.
We were very pleased with the food and service. In particular, the butter on the garlic toast that accompanied the lamb dish was exquisite, and I felt the chef's sense of style. However, a group of four ladies who happened to be next to us were so excited that we could not talk to them to our satisfaction. We hoped they would leave soon, but they were so excited that we had to leave in less than an hour. The structure of the store also had something to do with this. The building in which this restaurant is located has a very small floor space, and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors are rented in total. The third floor has a structure with about four tables in a row, so the distance between customers is quite close, and it is quite difficult if there is an insane group next to you. It was a disappointing night for us, as we had no complaints about the food or service.
