Osaka Business Trip Meal When the Michelin Guide Osaka was first published, more than a dozen takoyaki restaurants were introduced in the Bib Gourmand, but now there is only this one. It is about a 10-minute walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome, so it is located not too far from the center of Osaka. Takoyaki (14 pieces, 1000 yen) You can season 7 pieces at a time, so I chose two conflicting flavors: "as is" and "sauce & mayonnaise". Whether I ate one or two, my stupid tongue couldn't tell any difference from what I was used to eating. It was delicious, but I finished it normally. The next day, I had takoyaki at a certain famous restaurant in Namba and it hit me! It was not the takoyaki with sauce and mayonnaise on the batter, but the good old takoyaki that this restaurant was aiming for. I thought, "This is the good old takoyaki! As a Kanto native with a stupid tongue, I don't know what good old-fashioned takoyaki is, but this restaurant is clearly different from those that cater to tourists. Karakahori Pudding (300 yen) This is my kind of pudding with a rich egg and bitter caramel. I would rather eat it in a bowl than a small bowl. The restaurant has counter seats, so you can enjoy it like a bar. I would like to visit again when I have more free time.

Takoyaki Restaurant for Adults A walk from Tanimachi to Sorabori What a stylish store from the outside! It's a takoyaki shop, isn't it? The interior is a counter only, and looks like it could be a high-class sushi restaurant or kappo (Japanese cooking) restaurant. There is also a wine cellar, so it looks like an adult space. I can't drink alcohol, but I also want to enjoy the fresh air, so we'll eat outside. Cheese Takoyaki 360 yen This takoyaki is expensive and very small! And it is served without sauce! The soup stock is very strong and the takoyaki is tasty enough without the sauce! I could not taste the cheese at all (-_-;) The soup stock here is made by Mr. Doi, who has a kombu meister! The restaurant is also expensive because our takoyaki is made with good dashi broth! It's amazing that they don't rely on sauce! And we also had this Kuubori pudding! pudding with a hard custard that I missed. It's been a long time since I had it, and it was delicious! A very stylish takoyaki shop! How about a glass of wine in one hand and takoyaki in the other?

The batter is made with plenty of kombu and bonito broth, and the key to the flavor is the domestically sourced (Ise) octopus. This is a traditional small and round takoyaki. Since it does not use any artificial seasonings, it is delicious even without sauce and remains tasty when cooled.
