Kyomizu Co., located in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, raises eels with a focus on health and the original deliciousness of eels, which results in a limited number of eels being raised. This 'phantom eel' can only be tasted at about 30 eel shops nationwide. It has a sweet aroma and flavor, and contains 4 to 5 times more DNA and EPA, which are considered beneficial for the human body, than regular farmed eels.
