Memorandum 2020.3.30 Higashiyama Yoshiju Visited at 6:30 p.m. with two companions. No conversation during the meal. Wearing a mask before and after the meal, we had a conversation. The only other guests were three parents and their children. Refraining from the "Look at Me More" series for the time being. Yesterday, Higashiyama Kichiju. The theme of this restaurant changes every month, and for January it is Moon Bear x Tanba Wild Boar. ◉Bamboo shoots from Kagoshima, rape blossoms, tunafish, sansho oil ◉Matsuba crab boiled on the beach in Tsuiyama, chishatou, yam somen noodles, crab miso ◉Matsuba bear with sweet shabu-shabu, leek and watercress ◉ marinated tuna with bonito offal and egg yolk sauce ◉Sea squirt with grated radish and kuzunoko mushrooms ◉Japanese risotto rice with fugu milt risotto Tofu and Chinese cabbage as garnish ◉Honkawa duck, kuwai tip, heart, liver and hearts baked in pineapple sauce ◉Smoked cheese Omi turnip, Shiga moroko and kinome ◉Ayu fish and Rebun Island kelp in dashi broth ◉Donko wild boar with koji, red wine, sherry and sansho sauce prawns, sweet potato, snap peas Kinpira gobo (burdock root) ◉Rice with ice fish ◉Soba noodles with duck kumquat cocktail This month was another great one. Next month's theme is "Sushi x Freshness". I want to come here every month 😊.

A recent lunch at Higashiyama Yoshiju. My daughter is on spring break, so we had a family reunion in a private room. The March theme at Kichiju was shellfish and wild vegetables. It was a dish that made me feel spring 😊.
