Upon entering, I was excited to find a cozy space with just a counter. The bright owner from China manages everything alone, and I was happy that they quickly remembered my face. The handwritten menu is directly written on the refrigerator door, and it's so unique that I couldn't help but want to take a photo. The mapo tofu allows you to choose the level of spiciness, and the medium spicy version I ordered had an excellent balance of richness and numbing sensation. The stir-fried tomatoes and eggs, though simple, had an astonishingly well-rounded flavor that made it hard to put down my chopsticks. The unusual drinks like onion highball and black vinegar lemon sour were refreshing and paired well with the dishes.
