Minami Takoume

We offer a variety of dishes centered around traditional Kanto-style oden, including our signature sweet octopus and whale's song. The grilled eggplant oden features a delightful melt-in-your-mouth texture infused with broth, and we also have simmered tuna and potatoes, each highlighting the deliciousness of the ingredients.

It has a warm and homey atmosphere that makes it easy to visit even alone. The friendliness unique to a family-run establishment makes it enjoyable and reassuring for first-time visitors. The interior has a calm ambiance, allowing for a relaxed experience.

Independent from the original establishment founded in 1844, it has been loved in Osaka for over 50 years. While preserving tradition, it is known as a renowned restaurant rooted in the community with its unique style. It continues to be a presence that supports Osaka's food culture and is cherished by many people.

Born as the eldest daughter of Teruko Okada, the founder of Minami Takobai, she grew up helping out at the restaurant with her mother from an early age. She took over the restaurant from her retired mother, and now, together with her husband Takao and the manager, she continues to preserve the unchanged "Takoume" flavor.
