I went to Kawaji for the first time in about two years. I was invited to a private party hosted by my friends for eating and drinking, and visited (^o^) The dishes here are only omakase course (3,500 yen). On this day, Edamame (soybeans) Grilled Nodoguro (sea bream) with salt Carpaccio of bonito Milt with butter Hamo no Tempura Steamed Hamaguri clam with sake Steamed Oysters Braised Conger eel Assorted Sashimi Assorted Sashimi Hairy crab Whale steak Snapper with tail head Pickles Nameko mushroom miso soup 15 types (in order of availability). In addition to the above, we drank a lot of beer and lemon sour, and the bill was a little over 6,000 yen for 20 people who drank 4 bottles of sake. Again, I was so tongue-tied by the end of the course that I had to borrow a few photos from the participants.

I don't know of any restaurant that is less expensive and better than this one. In fact, I had been in agony since May this year, when I was invited to a restaurant but had to cancel due to circumstances. Since I had plenty of time to spare, I decided to go to Lunch Kawaji, knowing that it would be a long way from my destination. I guess I was too enthusiastic, but to my surprise, I got the pole position. Karasurei (810 yen + 200 yen) Two large slices of meaty karei, thinly sliced and seasoned more gently than I had expected. The small sashimi of the day were five slices of warasa, which were very thick. Of course, one bowl of rice was not enough for me, so I had to have another bowl of rice and another bowl of miso soup (refills of rice and miso soup are free). And I was stuffed to the gills. When I asked the waitress about reservations for the nighttime business, she told me that the restaurant was booked until next year and that they were currently stopping taking reservations. He said they do not have a waiting list, so if there is a change in the number of people or a cancellation, you can call the restaurant on the day of your visit to make a reservation. Rice is a good accompaniment to Kawaji's fish dishes, but sake is the best.

If you want to eat delicious fish at a reasonable price, go to Kawaji. I have eaten at many restaurants, but I really don't know any restaurant that is more delicious and wallet-friendly than this one. Lunch starts at 11:30, but we arrived a little early, so we waited inside the restaurant. After a while, a waiter comes to take our order. Sautéed anglerfish and small sashimi (880 yen + 200 yen) The menu changes daily, and everything on the menu that day was tempting. The restaurant was very crowded, so we shared a table for 4 with 1 x 4 people, not necessarily because the other 3 people ordered braised Alaskan sea bream, grilled dried toro hokke and grilled yellowtail (by the way, everyone ordered a small sashimi). The anglerfish came in two large cuts, and the heat was just right, with no unpleasant buttery bits at all. I squeezed a little lemon while eating the second slice, which was also great! The small sashimi of the day was bonito, five thick cuts for 200 yen, which is impossible. I really wish I could have this restaurant in my neighborhood. I wish I could go there again after a long time!
