Exquisite eel dishes enjoyed at the counter

Kanetetsu is a simple establishment with only counter seating in Shimbashi, yet it offers surprisingly delicious eel dishes. The grilled eel skewers and eel rice bowl, in particular, boast a perfect crispy surface and fluffy texture that make you want to visit again and again. The fragrant eel is beautifully complemented by a refined sauce, allowing you to savor a blissful dish that evokes the traditions of Edomae cuisine.

This is a cozy little shop located inside a building in front of the station. The counter is the main seating area, allowing you to enjoy eel in a relaxed atmosphere. The eel has a fragrant, crispy skin and is soft and melts in your mouth on the inside. The sauce is not heavy and has a moderate sweetness that enhances the umami flavor. The grilling color is beautiful, and it is delicious without any unpleasant smell even without using sansho pepper. Eating it with clear soup and pickles creates a good overall balance and is satisfying.
