The restaurant is a drinking udon shop that Rokuzaburo Dojo, the Iron Man of Japanese cuisine, doesn't really want people to know about. Open from noon to 2 am. Thin noodles with a slippery texture from Tokushima. Delicious kama-age udon served in a tarai with spicy soup and a large amount of condiments. 950 yen. Located on the second floor of a building in the Azabu Juban shopping district, Mashikichi has only tables with comfortable seating. With only a few seats, we do not want this restaurant to become a place where reservations are not taken. The menu includes seasonal fish dishes, standard Tochioage, Maofudofu, Jabujabu, Awa Beef, and Duck. All are indeed Mr. Dojo's careful and elegant taste. The beautiful sesame tofu as an appetizer is a perfect dish that first looks, then tastes, and makes you feel sorry that it is an appetizer. One dish is not cheap, but the bill is always cheap, and there is no service charge, which is a nice touch. It is a delightful restaurant with no service charge. I will go back again.

I came here because it was a well-known restaurant in Azabu Juban, and the lunch here looked delicious again. The menu had other enticing dishes in addition to the popular mapo doufu, but I decided to go with the mapo doufu. The restaurant's relaxed atmosphere allowed us to spend a leisurely lunch time. The most important thing was the hot bean curd served in an earthenware pot. The handmade flavor of the tofu made the rice more filling. The rice itself tasted delicious.
