Pilsner Urquell was created in 1842 and changed the concept of beer, being the world's first golden pilsner beer. It has spread worldwide and continues to be loved for over 175 years. Urquell means 'the original' in German, signifying 'the original pilsner,' and it is the representative beer of the Czech Republic. There are three ways to drink it: 1) Haradinka - Pour the foam first, then pour the beer liquid underneath the foam. By pouring the foam first, the carbonation is moderately released, resulting in a gentle flavor; this is the traditional pouring method. 2) Mlíko - In Czech, 'Mlíko' means 'milk' in English, referring to filling the glass with just the pure white foam. The rich foam provides a sweet taste, making it recommended after meals. 3) Nadvaklát - A common pouring method where foam is added on top after pouring the beer. This method gives a strong sensation of carbonation.
