An elegant bento shop that highlights quality ingredients

Yushima Osen is a bento shop located in the basement of Matsuya Ginza. The bento boxes, made with carefully selected fresh ingredients, exude a refined flavor, with tempura and simmered dishes featuring shrimp, scallops, and vegetables being particularly popular. The dishes, utilizing seasonal ingredients, are visually stunning and add a touch of elegance to any lively conversation.

I bought a bento at the store and enjoyed it for lunch. The two-tiered box is compact and easy to handle, and the combination of chirashi sushi and side dishes is delightful. The chirashi sushi is well-filled with thin omelet, shiitake mushrooms, vinegared lotus root, and shrimp, creating a good balance of flavors. The side dishes include small portions of tempura, simmered dishes, grilled fish, thick omelet, and beef sukiyaki, all of which have a careful taste. The seasonal four-season bento also offers a colorful variety with tea rice, chicken soboro, thin omelet, tempura, deep-fried chicken, and simmered conger eel. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but I like that there aren't too many people, allowing for a relaxed selection.
