The interior is new and clean, with spacious seating that makes for a comfortable experience. The handmade hegi soba has a smooth texture and a flexible chewiness that I really like. The dipping sauce has a strong aroma of bonito and a sharp, well-defined flavor that pairs perfectly with the soba. The freshly fried tempura has a light and crispy batter, and it tastes great with either salt or dipping sauce. The shrimp tempura is a substantial size and very satisfying, and the aroma of the tempura made with okahijiki was also impressive. I felt a sense of satisfaction for having come specifically for the hegi soba, and the service was pleasant, making for a comfortable atmosphere.
