I heard that there is a restaurant in Tokyo that serves bamboo shoots from Goma in Kitakyushu, the most famous bamboo shoot production area in Japan, not from a ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant). I read Kuniaki Harada's post and flew over to the restaurant! Located in the basement of a cozy alley near Taimei Elementary School, "Shimoda" emits a quiet yet strong aura. It is a restaurant that is right in the middle of my favorite. I was in a continuous stream of exclamations and spontaneous tears. It was too good to be true. The bamboo shoots from Goma were so delicious, just steamed and fried. It gave me goosebumps. The flavor was like apples and corn, crispy and juicy. The fried fish is also delicious. It is irresistible. Seasonal sashimi, the sticky, tongue-tingling sweetness of bluefin squid, shime saba (mackerel), and akamatsu (red mullet). One dish, the famous prawn dumpling, is a harmony of the freshness of the fresh egg and the wonderful texture of the plump prawns. The homemade karasumi is of a level that makes you think it is Taiwan's finest. To finish off the meal, there is a bowl of akami-don, fukagawa-don, inaniwa udon, curry, and rice ball, and much more. I had my favorite salmon roe rice ball. Again, the seaweed, salmon roe, and rice were all excellent. This restaurant, which is said to have been a favorite of the late Master Danshi, has been in business for over 40 years. It has been in business for more than 40 years and is family owned. The warm hospitality, careful selection of ingredients, and the pursuit of the best taste are all made possible by a family that trusts them. The hospitality is so great that we were convinced that the only other produce store in Tokyo that handles Goma's bamboo shoots fell in love with them and agreed to sell them to us wholesale. Ginza is the place to be! The bill was a little over 10,000 yen for one person. A little over 10,000 yen. And to top it all off, he brought home-made shaved bonito tsukudani as a souvenir. I told him I was glad he was so pleased. As soon as the bamboo shoots from Goma come in again this season, I will fly back. Thanks to Kuniaki Harada for introducing me to this wonderful store. It is a wonderful restaurant. The Japanese restaurant "Shimoda" is located in the basement of a small building near Taimei Elementary School. I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and decided to splurge. The sashimi platter was presented, and the chef told us that today's dish was tuna from Oma. I leaned forward to see the high quality sashimi and ordered one dish after another. The tuna and natto (fermented soybeans with tuna and natto) were both delicious, and I was delighted by the fragrant green laver that accompanied them. We also added squid natto. To finish off the meal, we ordered a luxurious dish that was not on the menu this time: a bowl of Oma tuna fatty tuna with cod roe and salmon roe. The taste was so good that I was surprised and happy. The family-run restaurant with its comfortable service. Please visit with a gourmet in a relaxed atmosphere.

On this long-awaited day, I received an e-mail informing me that Goma's bamboo shoots had arrived and flew over. One of my best Japanese restaurants, "Shimoda". I ordered my favorite bamboo shoots: raw, lightly steamed sashimi, grilled, and tempura fried in rapeseed oil with a delicate aroma, served with salt and pepper. Goma's bamboo shoots are fresh, juicy, and light in flavor. In Tokyo, it is a rare item that can only be found in the finest restaurants. And the sashimi of the usual gorgeous quality. To finish off the meal, we had salmon roe onigiri and shrimp curry. The curry was a delight to order in a small size, full of shrimp extract, and tasted delicious and somehow nostalgic. The bill was about ³,000 per person if you don't overdo it with the otoro bowl. This is a great price for the food and the warm, family-run service. This time, I had the bamboo shoot milt, which was not available at the restaurant. I will make a reservation for the albacore next time. Smoking is allowed, which is rare for this class of quality food, so I recommend this restaurant for entertaining smokers.

I was informed that I had lost the second best tuna at the first auction, so I decided to celebrate my friend's birthday at the famous restaurant "Shimoda". A family-run restaurant where nice gentlemen and the elderly gather to enjoy the delicious food. Now, the second tuna. The sticky-sweet taste made me dizzy. And the grilled kinki from Nemuro. Sigh. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the dried gourd that left a firm texture on the thick kelp of the salmon kombu maki, and the deliciousness of the salmon in the broth and the fire. And the standard natto (fermented soybeans) was chosen as the red meat. The aroma of the seaweed, the saltiness, the yolk of the egg, and the red meat of the high-quality egg, the aroma spread out in layers. We are going to work hard in the new year after having such a wonderful meal. This is a restaurant that I would like to visit on every occasion. I recommend this restaurant for dinner for adults who are picky about taste.

I took my gourmet boss to "Shimoda," a very special Japanese restaurant, to taste hamo (pike conger eel) and tiger puffer fish milt, the last of the season's arrival. The level of sashimi is on par with that of a high-class sushi restaurant, but at a price you would expect from a family-run business. The tuna natto is a blissful dish with the aroma of green laver. Shimoda" is a famous Japanese restaurant that offers a taste of chic Ginza. When I was informed that Goma's bamboo shoots were in stock for the last time of the season, I flew over. These Goma bamboo shoots are juicy, sweet, and have a slightly fragrant astringency. The taste is so delicious that it will take your strength away. The fried tofu is lightly dusted with flour and simply seasoned to bring out the best of the ingredients. The crispy texture and taste is unmatched by other ingredients. The sashimi is always ordered with seasonal ingredients and beautiful, high quality seafood. Also in season is the grilled tiger globefish albacore. It is a superb dish that has no reason not to be delicious. For the main course, we ordered the firefly squid shabushabu. The firefly squid was served raw in the famous restaurant's broth - a light shabu shabu before the miso is released, and the plump texture of the meat in the miso and broth in the mouth is a harmony of bliss. The final dish was zosui (rice porridge) in the shabu-shabu broth. A sigh of relief escapes from this dish. The restaurant's greatness, like its cuisine, lies in its family-run hospitality, its price, and its clientele, a group of chic Ginza gentlemen that you would not expect to find in Minato-ku. I still think of myself as a young boy, and this restaurant will give me energy for tomorrow. This is a great restaurant that you should visit at least once to enjoy delicious cuisine in chic Ginza.

You will want to have seasonal ingredients here. The famous Ginza restaurant, "Shimoda". This time, we visited for the last of the matsutake mushrooms and puffer fish, which is about to start its season. Matsutake mushrooms range from small to extra large. The blowfish was deep-fried and konbujime, and we were enchanted by its deliciousness. The restaurant attracts gourmet gentlemen with its excellent food and family-run, comforting service. I highly recommend this restaurant for a friendly conversation among adults.
