A cooking method that brings out the original flavors and aromas of the ingredients. The straw is hollow and filled with air, so when it is ignited, it burns rapidly, allowing the surface to be grilled instantly, trapping the umami inside. Additionally, the rich flavor of the straw enhances the taste even further.
The 'Tosa Hachikin Chicken' raised freely in the nature of Tosa. When grilled quickly over a robust charcoal fire, the savory aroma of charcoal spreads in your mouth with each bite, allowing you to enjoy the original texture and juiciness of the chicken.
The fruit tomato grown in the warm climate of tropical Tosa and the blessed environment by the sea is a rich tomato that is sweet, juicy, and has a slight tang.
The Sunday Market is held every Sunday using one side of the Otesuji road that leads to Kochi Castle. It has been a part of people's lives for over 300 years since 1690. It is the largest open-air market in Japan, open from morning until evening. Stretching endlessly for 1.3 kilometers, about 300 shops line the street. The unique appeal lies in the variety of offerings, including fresh vegetables and fruits brought by farmers, as well as hardware, Tosa knives, and ornamental plants.
The thickness of the chikuwa is the point! The 'chiku-kyu' with a whole cucumber is in Kochi style.

If you come to Kochi, you must check out the popular spot 'Hirome Market'. This large food stall village, home to about 60 shops including various restaurants serving Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, souvenir shops, fresh fish shops, and miscellaneous goods stores, opened in 1998 with the aim of promoting Kochi's food, culture, and hospitality. The chaotic atmosphere is reminiscent of an Asian market.
Tosa Bay is one of Japan's leading habitats for whales, and whaling has been actively conducted there. Whales have long been a close part of the lives of the people of Tosa and have been commonly consumed. At our restaurant, we offer the rare part of the whale, toro, served as yukke.

It suits the climate and culture of Kochi and is loved by everyone as a specialty of Kochi. It is a frozen dessert made with sugar, eggs, skim milk powder, banana spices, etc., with a milk fat content of less than 3%. This is an exquisite sake brewed by a local toji from Suzuka, inheriting the supreme techniques cultivated by history, using the pure underground water from the Suzuka Mountains, which is very suitable for sake brewing, and high-quality rice from the Ise Plain. Its floral and roasted aroma with a refreshing aftertaste captivates many sake enthusiasts.
Although the rice polishing ratio is 70%, it is crafted in the same way as Daiginjo sake with a small amount of hand production. It is a flavorful and soft textured sake that can be enjoyed with food.
A special junmai sake made using Gin no Yume rice from the Reihoku region of Kochi and Akitsuho rice as the added rice, finished with a crisp and dry taste. It pairs excellently with fish dishes, starting with bonito sashimi.

As a result, it has been crafted into a luxurious chestnut shochu that is distinctly different in flavor. The subtle aroma of chestnuts and soft sweetness gently spreads in your mouth.

This shochu, made with 100% barley for both ingredients and koji, was the first attempt of its kind in Japan.
