The bento boxes and bamboo-wrapped sushi I found in the basement of the department store are all attractive, making it fun to choose. The rice with shimeji mushrooms includes teriyaki yellowtail, shrimp tempura, and crab cream croquettes, creating a good balance. The flavor of the simmered dishes seeps in gently, and you can enjoy the different textures. The scallop rice is fluffy and rich in flavor, and the grilled salmon is impressive and satisfying. The chirashi sushi has a cute flower-like wrapping, and I’m happy that I can choose from three types: fan, anago (conger eel), and araiso (rough sea). It’s delicious even when cold, making it perfect for carrying around or as a gift.
