Sushi Wako

The restaurant offers Edomae Sushi, which is made with the freshest seafood from Akita Prefecture and other seasonal ingredients. The course consists of more than 20 items, alternating between about 12 sushi and 12 sake snacks. The rice is small and perfectly balanced to enhance the flavor of the ingredients. Sake can be ordered in half-full or full-bottle quantities, allowing diners to enjoy pairing their sake with the food.

The interior of the restaurant has a simple and relaxed atmosphere, and counter seating allows diners to observe the craftsmanship of the chefs up close. Private rooms are also available for those who prefer a more private atmosphere. All seats are non-smoking, so you can enjoy your meal in comfort.

The owner of Sushi Wadako opened his own restaurant after two years in a butcher shop, four years in a fish shop, and six years in a sushi restaurant. He used this experience to serve Edo-mae sushi using seasonal seafood from Akita. In particular, we recommend the sashimi of "etsu," which comes in season around the consecutive holidays in May, served with sesame soy sauce. We also pay particular attention to bone slicing, making more than 200 fine cuts on each side for ease of eating and deliciousness.
