While walking through the basement of the department store, I was drawn to this dish full of seafood. It is sold frozen, so I can take it home and thaw it at my convenience, which is very convenient. The thawed mekabu is crunchy and pairs perfectly with the creamy kelp. The luxurious toppings of sea urchin, salmon roe, scallops, and abalone release the scent of the ocean with every bite. When served over rice as a donburi, I couldn't stop eating and finished it in no time. Keeping it in stock allows me to enjoy a special meal quickly, making it a delicious treat I want to have on hand in the freezer.
