A Specialty Restaurant for Whale Dishes with a Showa Era Atmosphere

This izakaya offers a rustic and charming experience where you can enjoy whale dishes, all while enveloped in a nostalgic Showa-era ambiance. The fresh whale sashimi served at the counter is surprisingly light and free of any strong flavors, making it a favorite among many. The interior is filled with nostalgic music, providing a pleasant experience every time you visit.

Upon entering the shop, the calm atmosphere is surprisingly different from its austere exterior, with a counter on the first floor and table seating on the second floor, allowing for a comfortable seating experience. The lunch set meals focus on fish, featuring grilled mackerel and fried sardines, and they are served quickly, so you can relax even if you're very hungry. There are many small side dishes, and it's delightful to see items like pickles, potato salad, and even a raw egg on the table. The rice is served in a bowl size, and with furikake (rice seasoning) provided, you can't help but finish it all. The miso soup has a gentle flavor, and the service is impressive, as they even offer mandarins and bananas after the meal. Due to the generous portions and high level of satisfaction, this charming shop naturally draws you in whenever you're nearby.
