The staff are mostly nice people (I've never encountered anyone unpleasant). I go there every time I return to my hometown, and it's truly a great place.

The interior of the renovated old folk house is calming with warm lighting and a view of the engawa (veranda). Both the counter and tables are spacious, allowing for relaxation even for first-time visitors. The white, smooth, and chewy udon made with rice flour has a delightful texture that makes you want to have seconds. The tomato curry udon with a fragrant coconut soup has just the right amount of spice, perfectly complementing the chewy flat noodles. The pork wrapped in new onions has a sweetness that pairs wonderfully with the ginger sauce, making the rice go down easily. Enjoying the rich almond tofu dessert while gazing at old photographs on the wall and a map of the shopping district was a very heartwarming experience.

It seemed crowded and I was glad I made a reservation. They asked us frequently if we wanted to change our nets and the food came out without any wait. The food was delicious.
